User interface

The SmartSoil user interface has an upper menu, a side menu and a workspace.


Upper menu

Upper menu

A SmartSoil user can have access to multiple organizations. Click the current organization name in the upper menu to expand the list of available organizations (upon first login, the label «Not selected» is displayed instead of the name). Select from this list the organization whose fields and tests you plan to work with.

In order to log out of your account, click the current user's login in the upper menu and select «Log out».

Switch the user interface language: click the current user's login in the upper menu, select «Language», and then choose the desired language.

The menu for language switching and logout also has the «What's new» item, which redirects to the SmartSoil release notes page.

Side menu

Side menu

In order to browse the desired fields or tests of the organization, expand the side menu by moving the mouse cursor to the window left side and select one of the items:

  •   Fields list — fields list of the organization.
  •   Soil analysis — summary information on all fields and tests of the organization for the specified period.
  •   Compaction tests — tests list of the organization for the specified period.
  •    Archive — list of temporarily unused fields and tests.
  •    Recycle bin — list of deleted fields and tests (objects are stored for 7 days before deleted permanently).

The Workspace depends on the item selected in the side menu.

Geographical map

Some SmartSoil pages have a geographical map to display fields, penetrations, and compaction maps:

  • Click  «  »  in the map area and select the displayed map.

  • Use the left mouse button to grab and move the map.
  • Use the mouse scroll wheel or buttons    and    on the map itself to zoom it in and out. A double left-click on the map also zooms it in.
